Join us for the fourth annual Wine in the Pines benefiting Idyllwild Community Fund on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 4-7pm at the Rainbow Inn, 54420 S. Circle Drive in Idyllwild.
It’s a party!
Stroll through the garden of the Rainbow Inn while enjoying wine, craft beer by Don Put and appetizers. Enjoy great entertainment provided by our local musicians and participate in the Silent Auction* and raffle.
This is a truly wonderful celebration bringing the community together to support our very important mission of providing grants to local non-profit organizations to help them accomplish critical goals that enhance the quality of life for all our residents.
Money raised through our Silent Auction and raffle enables ICF to fund the Idyllwild School Youth Grantmakers program. Now entering into its sixth year, the program teaches Idyllwild Middle School students, 6th through 8th grade about philanthropy, the benefits of giving and of bettering their community. Participating students volunteer their time in 2 hour after school training sessions, perform community service and at the end of their training they are tasked to review grants and award money to local non-profits for projects that benefit teens.
The Community Foundation of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties started the program five years ago as a pilot program for Middle Schools. Previously, the program had only served high school students. After funding the program and providing student instruction for the first three years, the Community Foundation, of which ICF is a part, decided to discontinue the pilot program. The ICF Advisory Committee voted to continue the program and raise the necessary funds to do so, believing the benefit to local students was and will continue to be immeasurable. In its second year under ICF’s direct supervision, over 30 Idyllwild Middle School students participated.
Once again this year we are counting on you to help us continue this worthy program – by providing wonderful items for us to auction. Your gifts will create unique opportunities for our local youth to serve their community and to learn life lessons about the value and beauty of giving to others.
Admission is free to guests 21 and over.
